Without giving away any plot details or spoiling anything about the movie, we will say that The Lion King avoids the recent blockbuster trend and does not feature mid- or post-credits scenes. This should not come as a surprise to die-hard Disney fans, as post-credits scenes have not been featured in any of the live-action remakes. So while others will be staying in their seat to get to know the names of the film’s sound design team in hopes of seeing an additional seen, you can start making a beeline for the exit as soon as the credits start. The Lion King has been receiving mostly positive reviews from critics, earning a 60 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and the film also deserves credit for ending when it’s supposed to. The Lion King comes to theaters July 19.
