No spoilers ahead for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. With Avengers: Infinity War, you totally needed to stick around for that post-credits scene. With Incredibles 2 there isn’t one but the credits themselves are exhilarating enough to sit through. However, not all post-credits scenes are created equal, and despite the fact that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a fun (sometimes brainless) dinosaur romp, dangling plot threads aren’t specific enough to warrant a post-credits scene. So, although the movie is full of tons of great dinosaur action and has a great ending, you don’t really need to stick around for the post-credits scene if you feel like bolting. the ending of the movie is a huge deal, and the post-credits scene is pretty much just more of that. It’s cool, and a great image, but it doesn’t necessarily set-up anything specific for the next film. If anything, the post-credits scene of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom feels more like a joke than anything else. In fact, at the screening, I attended, the few stragglers waiting for the post-credits scene all laughed. It will give you a chortle, but your kids probably don’t need to stick around for it. If you feel like leaving, just leave. You’ll be able to find out what happens to all the dinosaurs when Jurassic World 3 (no subtitle yet) hits theaters on June 11, 2021.
