On the Emmy Awards red carpet, Kathryn Hahn told PEOPLE’s Jeremy Parson that despite her breakout character becoming a cultural phenomenon earlier this year, her two kids Leonard, 14, and Mae, 12, would be “making constant fun” of their mom as she rehearsed at home for the Disney+ series. “Like my kid walked in one time while I was practicing my witch moves and he was like, ‘Oh my God, Mom!’ Like it was as if he just saw me just getting out of the shower,” she explained. “He was so embarrassed.” Fortunately, Hahn didn’t seem to take the slight to heart, as every parent knows that no matter what you do, you will always be seen as a massive dork in the eyes of your kids. She did say that her son thought it was “a little cool” that she was in the MCU, which, for a teenager, is about the highest praise a parent can expect. While her work as the secret villain of WandaVision may not have been cool enough for her kids, Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha was beloved by fans and critics. She even earned her second career Emmy nomination for the role.
