As for why it’s selling out so quickly, that’s very well known: The ship is gorgeous. You don’t even have to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate the level of detail on this thing. What was already one of company’s largest kits at 5,195 pieces before being retooled, the new Falcon now measures almost 3-feet by 2-feet (stands 8-inches tall) and comprises a whopping 7,541 pieces. It includes a concealed blaster cannon, lowering boarding ramp, a detachable canopy, and even a gunnery station from which any of the eight-included mini figurines can blast Tie-Fighters while waiting to make the jump to hyperspace. And the pop off hull panels lets you get right inside action. Assuming, of course, you can get your hands on one. If you can’t, however, Lego also just unveiled yet another version of the Falcon. It’s the 1,414-piece Kessel Run Millennium Falcon, and it’s tied to the upcoming movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story, due to hit theaters in May. The set will sell for $170 and hits shelves next month.
