The BBB stalled in the Senate late last year as West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin, the only Democratic member of the Senate not to approve the bill, balked at provisions to extend the Child Tax Credit. After last week’s State of the Union Address, though, it sounds like President Biden isn’t ready to give up the idea of providing paid leave to workers....

North Bay Produce, a Traverse City, Michigan-based agricultural cooperative with growers in North, Central, and South America, just issued a voluntary recall of 2,297 cases and two bulk bins of apples. Affected varieties are McIntosh, Jonathan, Fuji, Jonamac, Red Delicious, and the uber-popular Honeycrisp. They could potentially be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause fever, severe headaches, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and stiffness. According to the CDC, 1,600 people a year get listeriosis and 260 of them die from the infection....

To be clear, this was not present in the Joss Whedon cut of 2017’s Justice League.
