What Minute Maid Juices Have Been Recalled? The 59-oz cartons of Minute Maid’s Fruit Punch, Strawberry Lemonade, and Berry Punch flavors have been affected by the recall, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A total of 7,475 cases of product were recalled and removed from shelves in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The FDA has registered the voluntary recall as a Class II incident, meaning “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote....

The attack happened in Calabasas, California, where the five-year-old boy was playing in a tree near his house. Suddenly, he was attacked by the mountain lion, who grabbed him and started dragging him. Fortunately, his mom was there to save the day, as she heard her son screaming and immediately headed his way in order to protect him by any means necessary. According to Captain Patrick Foy, a spokesman with the California department of fish and wildlife, the mom began “punching and striking the mountain lion with her bare hands and got him off her son....

According to CNET, NASA captured the soundwaves of a black hole more than 200 million light-years away from us. “The black hole is found in the center of what’s known as the Perseus galaxy cluster, which is a majestic 11 million-light-year-wide bundle of galaxies shrouded by hot gas,” the publication states. So, the Perseus galaxy cluster is a giant gas cloud, and that’s how scientists were able to capture the sound of the black hole....

In fact, per The Week, the blood supply is now in the “red” level, which means that the majority of blood banks nationwide only have, or have less than, a single day’s supply of the crucial substance. For perspective, the American Red Cross reportedly keeps up to five days of blood at a time. According to a Disney Parks Blog update, Disney has announced its Disney Dining Promo Card, a meal plan that will replace the Disney Dining Plan that was put on pause in early 2020. The new card will give guests who booked a “non-discounted” 5-night, 4-day ticket and room package at select Disney Resort hotels $750 to use toward food purchases. “Use your digital Disney Dining Promo Card to purchase meals, snacks, treats, and beverages at select participating dining locations across Walt Disney World Resort,” the company explains on its website....

Studies don’t support the idea that hangovers get worse as we get older, says Linda Peng, M.D., an assistant professor of medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. In fact, in survey-based studies, when researchers accounted for how much people drank, they discovered that their hangovers actually became milder with age and that they had fewer hangovers overall, says Peng. For instance, in a 2021 study based on surveys of 761 Danish adults between the ages of 18 and 94, researchers concluded that “hangover severity declines with age,” even after they controlled for the amount of alcohol consumed....

Given crisis-level unemployment and spotty childcare, coronavirus has clearly brought new urgency and clarity to the need for paid leave laws. With Republican and Democratic politicians alike increasingly talking about the need for a national paid leave law, there’s hope that American families might actually get a break. Katie Bethell, director of the paid leave advocacy group PL+US Action has worked for paid leave laws since 2006, passing laws in New Jersey and elsewhere....

The United States stands alone in being the sole nation in the OECD that guarantees exactly zero federal paid parental leave to its citizens. And despite the best efforts of some federal lawmakers, it’s been those in just a few states who’ve actually been successful in giving more people what should be a universal benefit. That’s better than nothing — citizens in places like Washington State, for example, have access to a generous paid parental leave policy — but it makes access to paid leave a bifurcated system where many millions of American workers are left out not just of paternity or maternity leave but also sick leave and caregiving leave like that offered through the temporary FFCRA rule during COVID-19....
