With Mando, the father-child bond between Din Djarin and Grogu defined the first two seasons of the show. But Book of Boba Fett isn’t going to be like that. Like, at all. Boba may have a wonderful dad bod, but this series is clearly not trying to be cute or cuddly. Instead, based on the trailer, it seems like The Book of Boba Fett is going to be all about Boba’s attempts to reform the criminal underworld formally run by Jabba the Hutt....

My child always complies. Hijinks ensue. As children flip through the pages they discover that pushing the button turns Larry different colors, covers him in polka dots, and splits him into thousands of silly Larrys. At the end of the book, a key lesson is learned. When an adult says that there’s a dangerous button that you shouldn’t press, you can press it — as long as no one is looking, and Larry promises not to tattle....

In the video, Ben Stiller has started up his own father-kid support group which includes other famous dads, John Travolta and LeBron James. Joining the famous dads in the support group are their real kids, Ella Travolta, Quinlin Stiller, and Bronny James, who very clearly don’t want to be there. The group is led by Stiller who is dressed to the nines as Kratos, who explains to the group how the father/son relationship between Kratos and Atreus can inspire everyone to become better parents....

So, does the movie have one of these famous post-credits scenes or what? Here’s the deal. No spoilers ahead. The movie has been receiving rave reviews and nearly had a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes before someone who didn’t like Spider-Man ruined it. This risky Sony adventure looks like it paid off with the critics, at least. The five Spider-People fight off some of the most famous Spider-Man villains, including Kingpin, Green Goblin, the Prowler, and Doc Ock....

A trailer for Looney Tunes Cartoons, as the new show is known, shows Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Wile E. Coyote, the Road Runner, Marvin the Martian, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Tweety, and Yosemite Sam. It’s a damn impressive roster and a sign that the producers of the show aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel. They all but said so in a press release: “Marquee Looney Tunes characters will be featured in their classic pairings in simple, gag-driven and visually vibrant stories....

But Toy Story is also indirectly responsible for some of the worst animated abominations of the past three decades as well, crimes against cinema and branding like the fascinatingly misconceived Foodfight!, which tried to do for supermarket brands and mascots what Toy Story did for toys and instead emerged with an all-time stinker, an unholy marriage of grotesque over-sexualization, Nazi imagery, nightmare-inducing character design, and clearly unfinished animation. Toy Story similarly led to the universally reviled The Emoji Movie, whose primary distinction is that Sir Patrick Stewart literally played shit in it, in that he was hopefully very well-compensated for voicing the poop emoji....

There are a lot of reasons a child of the ‘80s will tell you that the 1986 animated feature film Transformers: The Movie totally rocks. In fact, they would probably start by talking about the Rocky-esque ‘80s rock soundtrack, one which famously made Stan Bush’s (a faux-Kenny Loggins) song “The Touch” into an anthem for cool kids, and a hilarious joke in Boogie Nights a decade later. There’s also a great voice cast: Judd Nelson fresh from his Breakfast Club fame plays the pseudo-main character, an Autobot named Hot Rod, whose hero’s journey is so similar to most Chris Pine movies, that you have to wonder if this movie isn’t required viewing among contemporary Hollywood screenwriters....

In other words, this show is big on magic and quirkiness, in a combination that comes across a little edgy and odd. And again, the animation style feels unique, almost retro, which helps for parents who are sick of having their kids watch the same kind of flat, CGI-ish animated palette of kids’ media. The show’s gothic art design with its measured, muted tones, sprawling modernism, and its chilling take on villains like Mr. Freeze and Harley Quinn captured Batman’s mature themes so well that at first glance it’s hard to register the show was intended for children....
